Trovewise is made by Box Builds (“we”).
The short version
- In Private Mode, what you own stays on your phone, encrypted. There’s no account and we never receive your stack.
- What you own is private. We never show your holdings to other users or sell your data.
- Serial numbers and documents you upload are encrypted.
- You can export or delete your data at any time.
What we collect
Private Mode: nothing about your stack. The coin catalog and price history are built into the app, so searches and charts happen on your phone. The only things it asks us for are today’s metal prices, price history since your app version came out, and exchange rates if you use a currency other than US dollars — the same requests for everyone, with nothing about what you own.
With an account (synced): your account details (email, name), the items you add to your stack (what they are, quantities, prices, dates, dealers, notes, photos and documents), and basic app diagnostics.
Items that aren’t in our catalog: when you add a coin, bar or round by hand because we don’t list it, we keep its description — name, metal, purity, weight and maker, and what you searched for — to add it to the catalog for everyone. Never what you paid, and catalog pages never show who owns what. Private Mode never sends these.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your data, share your holdings with dealers, or show what you own on community catalog pages.
Delete your account
In the app: More → Delete account. It permanently deletes your account and everything in your stack straight away (descriptions of items that weren’t in our catalog stay, with nothing linking them to you). In Private Mode: More → Erase private data (nothing is stored with us).
Can’t open the app? Email privacy@trovewise.app from the address on your account and we’ll delete it within 30 days. A plan bought on Google Play can be restored on a new account.
